Kylie Feuerbach, born on May 21, 2001, in Sycamore, Illinois, is an American college basketball player currently shining as a guard for the Iowa Hawkeyes in the Big Ten Conference.

Before joining the Hawkeyes, she played her freshman season with the Iowa State Cyclones.

Feuerbach comes from a family with deep athletic roots—her parents, Steve and Lisa Feuerbach, are both Iowa State University alumni, and her uncle, Al Feuerbach, once held the world record in shot put.

Raised in a supportive household, Kylie’s passion for basketball was nurtured alongside her four siblings, making her journey a blend of familial influence and personal determination.

    Siblings

Kylie has two brothers, Nick and Isaiah, and two sisters, Alyssa and Faith.

However, not much is known about her siblings, as they live alive away from the public eye compared to their famous sister.

    Career

Kylie’s basketball career began to take shape at Sycamore High School, where she was a four-year starter and letterwinner.

She averaged an impressive 19.9 points, 7.3 rebounds, 4.5 steals, and 1.6 blocks per game, finishing her high school tenure with over 2,000 points.

Her talent shone on the AAU circuit as well, playing for All Attack Iowa alongside future Iowa teammate Caitlin Clark.

A defining moment came in 2018 when she hit a buzzer-beating 3-pointer to clinch the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL) national title in front of NBA legend Kevin Durant.

Her college career kicked off at Iowa State University during the 2020-21 season, where she started 24 of 28 games as a freshman under coach Bill Fennelly.

She averaged 5.5 points and 3.1 rebounds per game, showcasing her potential despite modest stats.

After one season, Kylie transferred to the University of Iowa, seeking new challenges.

Her time with the Hawkeyes has been marked by resilience—after missing the entire 2022-23 season due to an ACL injury, she returned in 2023-24 as a key bench player, appearing in all 39 games and averaging 2.6 points in 13.9 minutes.

By the 2024-25 season, she had earned a spot in the starting lineup, boosting her stats to 6.6 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.4 steals per game, reflecting her growing role under new coach Jan Jensen.

    Accolades

Feuerbach’s career is studded with notable achievements.

In high school, she earned First-Team All-State honors from the Associated Press and was named the Daily Chronicle Girls Basketball Player of the Year three times.

Her game-winning shot in the 2018 Nike EYBL championship remains a career highlight, cementing her reputation as a clutch performer.

At Iowa State, she was recognized as Big 12 Freshman of the Week twice (February 1 and March 9, 2021), a testament to her immediate impact.

With the Hawkeyes, her contributions helped the team secure back-to-back Big Ten Tournament titles in 2023 and 2024, as well as reach consecutive NCAA national championship games.

Individually, she’s hit career highs—such as 17 points against Kansas State in 2020 and four steals against Ohio State in 2024—showcasing her versatility and grit.
