    Laikipia University Announces Job Vacancies

    Laikipia University has announced 13 vacant positions and invited qualified professionals to apply for the available jobs.

    In a notice issued on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, the university said it was seeking visionary, competent, dynamic and experienced professionals for appointment to the established positions.

    The vacancies include University Librarian, Associate Professor, Senior Lecturer, Lecturer and Technologist positions.

    The university has advised interested applicants to visit its website, www.laikipia.ac.ke, for detailed specifications and requirements for each position.

    Candidates selected for appointment will be required to obtain clearance from several government agencies and institutions.

    The required clearances include those from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and a registered Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).

    Applicants with certificates conferred or awarded by foreign universities and institutions will also be required to obtain clearance from the Commission for University Education (CUE), where applicable.

    The university said shortlisted candidates will also undergo background checks as part of the recruitment process.

    “In line with the applicable laws, those shortlisted for the interview will be required to fill the Laikipia University Consent Form for purposes of initiating the Background Checks being part of the recruitment process,” the notice reads.

    Interested candidates are required to submit two hard copies of their applications to the Registrar, Administration and Human Capital, Laikipia University.

    Applicants are also required to send a running PDF soft copy containing the complete application package submitted in the two hard copies.

    The soft copy should be sent to recruitment@laikipia.ac.ke.

    The university has set October 2, 2026 as the deadline for receiving applications.

    “Applications received after October 2, 2026 will NOT be accepted and/or processed,” the university said.

    Laikipia University added that only candidates who are shortlisted for the positions will be contacted.
