Laurene Powell Jobs is an American entrepreneur, business executive, and philanthropist widely recognized as the widow of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs.

Born Laurene Powell on November 6, 1963, in West Milford, New Jersey, she grew up in a challenging environment after losing her father, a Marine Corps pilot, in an airborne collision when she was just three years old.

Her mother was left to raise four young children with limited resources, instilling a strong work ethic in the family.

Powell Jobs later earned degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, including a Bachelor of Arts in political science and a Bachelor of Science in economics from the Wharton School, before pursuing graduate studies at Stanford University, where she met Steve Jobs.
