    Leopards, Gor Mahia Fall Ahead Of The Mashemeji Derby

    1. AFC Leopards and Gor Mahia lost their midweek Kenyan Premier League matches ahead of Sunday’s Mashemeji Derby.

    Leopards were edged out 1-0 by KCB at Machakos’ Kenyatta Stadium, while Gor Mahia fell by a similar margin to Nzoia Sugar at Mumias Complex.

    Kennedy Owino’s lone strike in the 37th minute ensured that the Bankers completed a double over Ingwe this season.

    While Hansel Ochieng’ 34th minute free-kick slowed down Gor Mahia’s march to the a third successive KPL title.

    Leopards will next host arch rivals Gor in the Mashemeji Derby on Sunday at the Kasarani Stadium.

    In the other midweek games today, Zoo FC registered a crucial 2-1 win over Western Stima to enhance their chances of surviving relegation.

    Sony Sugar continued with their bullish form – thumping visiting Kariobangi Sharks 2-0 in Awendo.
