Two different obituaries of the late Mary Auma also known as Mama Oliech are appearing in Tuesday’s issue of the Daily Nation.
Ms Auma is the former Harambee Stars striker Dennis Oliech’s mother.
The conflicting death announcements communicated different burial dates.
The first obituary appearing on page 45, announces that the deceased will be laid to rest on August 18, 2018 at the family home in Ratta-Seme, Kisumu county while the second obituary on page 46 says that the cortege will leave Umash Funeral Home on August 9, 2018 for a requiem mass at Uhuru Church before leaving Nairobi the same night for arrival at the family home on August 10.
According to a local blog, the announcements were placed by Mama Oliech’s children. One by her daughter and the other by one of her sons.

It is said that the two insisted that the obituaries be published separately and on the same day.
It remains unclear when exactly Mama Oliech will be buried but reports indicate that she might be laid to rest on August 18.
The deceased lost the battle to cancer on July 20.
