A man was stabbed and killed in a fight over a woman in Majengo slums, Nairobi.

Police identified the deceased as Peter Onyango. The assailant accused the deceased of having an affair with his wife before he confronted him with a knife.

The body of the deceased was on Monday dawn found on a corridor in the area lying in a pool of blood. This was hours after he had been attacked fatally. The body had multiple stab wounds in the stomach, police said.

Police said the assailant escaped the scene and efforts to trace him were ongoing. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.

Murder incidents linked to love triangles have been on the rise in the past week. Police say they are now handling up to five such cases reported in a week.

Some of the suspects are yet to be arrested, police said on Tuesday.

Elsewhere in Olpusimoru, Narok County, police said they are investigating a drowning incident that involved a 13-year-old boy.

The boy is said to have been nursing epilepsy at the time of his death on Sunday. He went missing from their home on Sunday morning, which prompted a search in the area.

Police said the body was later found in Olengape stream by his own mother who had gone there to fetch water.

The body was later moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures. Police said they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the drowning incident.

And a man was found dead in his house after suspected suicide in Witeithie, Kiambu County.

The deceased was identified as Paul Mwirithia, 55. He was along in the house when the incident happened on Sunday January 4, police said. The motive of the incident was not established and police are investigating the same. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
