    Man found murdered in Mutindwa

    Detectives are investigating the murder of a middle-aged man whose body was found dumped in Mutindwa area, Buruburu, Nairobi.

    The body had a swollen eye when it was discovered on Monday evening, police said.

    It is suspected he was killed at the scene near the local station of the Kenya Railways. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.

    Elsewhere in Macalder area, Migori County, the body of one Samba Wambura, 34 in Mirema Forest after suspected murder.

    Police said the deceased was a boda boda rider in Migori Town. He had gone missing on January 14, 2026 and his relatives made a missing person report on January 17.

    The body was discovered on Monday while decomposed, police said as they moved it to the mortuary pending an autopsy an investigation. Police said they are investigating murder in the incident.

    The deceased’s motorcycle was missing indicating the killers were targeting it. Cases of murder linked to stealing of motorcycles have been on the rise in separate parts of the country.

    Elsewhere in Dudi, Kakamega County, a body was found on the banks of Mumulakha stream. The man’s left arm had its skin peeled off when the body was found on Monday, police said.

    Police suspect the man was killed and dumped in the stream but the motive is yet to be established. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.

    And police are investigating a drowning incident in Kayahwe River, Kahuro, Muranga County.

    The incident involved a 17-year-old boy who was a form three student at Weithaga Day Mixed School. His body was found floating in the river while his clothes were recovered along the riverbank.

    It is highly suspected that the deceased was on a swimming mission before drowning on Monday, police said as they moved the body to the mortuary pending autopsy.
