A man by the name Abdulaziz Mohammed Abdul was arraigned in Nairobi court and charged for marrying a second wife.Abdul is said to have married a second wife while still married to his first wife.
Mr Abdulaziz who pleaded not guilty was released on cash bail of Sh30,000. However if found guilty, he will be sentenced to one year jail term in accordance with the Kenyan law on bigamy.
Bigamy is a Kenyan law that makes it an offense for a married person to undergo marriage ceremony when the current one still exist.
Priti Khimji Vadgama who claims to be his legal wife is the complainant and might according to court reports, wants husband to face assault charges.

The accused who was arraigned at the Milimani Senior Resident court under judge Christine told the court that he has never been married
The case will be mentioned on the 20th November,2017.
