A man was fatally stabbed in a domestic fight in Tassia, Nairobi.

Police said Kennedy Juma had been engaged in a fight with his wife in their house before it turned tragic. He was stabbed in the chest and later rushed to a local hospital where he died on February 25 night.

The woman was attacked by a mob following the incident before police rushed to her rescue to the hospital. She was treated and discharged before being detained for murder.

The body of the man was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and investigations.

Such cases have been on the rise in separate places amid efforts to solve them, police statistics show.

In Nyamira’s Keera area, the body of a man was found floating in a river after a suspected murder. The body of David Mongare, 60 was half naked when it was found on Wednesday, police said adding it had two deep stab wounds in the back and several other cuts in the head.

The motive of the murder was not immediately established and the body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.

In Kutus, Kirinyaga County, a man was found dead in river Rutui. The man was identified as Anthon Muriithi, 61. The deceased’s body had a strangulation mark at the neck and the soft part of both ears were slightly cut and fresh blood oozing from the lower lip was also slightly cut, police said.

The motive of the murder was not immediately established, police said as they moved the body to the mortuary for autopsy.

Meanwhile, a man was found dead near a gold mining site in Macalder, Migori County.

Police said preliminary findings showed the man was killed elsewhere and the body dumped at the site.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending identification and autopsy. There has been a push and pull trend over the management of some gold mining sites in the area.
