Martin Baturina is a Croatian professional footballer born on 16 February 2003 in Zurich, Switzerland.
He plays primarily as an attacking midfielder and is known for his technical ability, vision, dribbling in tight spaces, and capacity to create and score goals.
Although born in Switzerland during his father’s playing career there, he was raised in Split, Croatia, and represents the Croatia national team.
He currently plays for Serie A club Como, having joined them in 2025 after a successful spell at Dinamo Zagreb.
Siblings
Martin comes from a footballing family and has two brothers, both professional players. His older brother is Roko Baturina, born on 20 June 2000 in Split.
Roko is a centre-forward who has played for clubs including Hajduk Split, RNK Split, Dinamo Zagreb, Ferencváros, Maribor, Racing Santander, Málaga, Gil Vicente, and more recently on loan at AC Horsens in Denmark, with later moves including a spell at FC Aarau.
He has represented Croatia at youth levels.
The younger brother is Marin Baturina, born around 2005.
Marin has progressed through youth systems including Hajduk Split, RNK Split and Dinamo Zagreb setups before playing for clubs such as HAŠK 1903, NK Bravo, and later NK Uskok Klis.
He operates in more defensive or wide roles, such as left-back or defensive midfielder.
Their father, Mate Baturina, is a former professional midfielder who earned one cap for Croatia and later worked as a coach.
The family relocated from Split to Zagreb in 2017 to support the brothers’ development at Dinamo Zagreb.

Career
Baturina began his youth career at Hajduk Split before moving to RNK Split and then joining Dinamo Zagreb’s academy in 2017.
He made his senior debut for Dinamo Zagreb’s first team in May 2021 and became a regular over the following seasons.
Across roughly 165 appearances for the club he scored 22 goals and provided numerous assists while featuring in domestic and European competitions, including the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League.
In June 2025 he transferred to Italian side Como on a five-year contract, arriving as one of the more highly regarded young midfielders in European football.
At Como, under coach Cesc Fàbregas, he has been deployed in central midfield, attacking midfield and wider roles, contributing goals and creative play in Serie A.
Internationally, he progressed through Croatia’s youth teams from under-15 to under-21 level.
He earned his senior debut for Croatia in November 2023 and has since accumulated multiple caps, scoring goals including one at the 2026 FIFA World Cup against England.
He featured in the squad for UEFA Euro 2024 and the 2026 World Cup.
Accolades
With Dinamo Zagreb, Baturina won multiple Croatian league titles (including the seasons covering 2020–21 through 2023–24), the Croatian Cup, and Croatian Super Cups.
On an individual level he has received recognition such as inclusion in the Football Oscar Team of the Year, the award for Best Prva HNL U-21 player, and Serie A Rising Star of the Month honours during his time at Como.
