Kenya’s Emerging Harambee Stars beat Mauritius 3-1 in the U-23 Afcon qualifiers return match in Port Louis on Sunday to sail through to the next round on 8-1 aggregate scoreline.
Sofapaka’s striker Pistone Mutamba recorded a double over the islanders for the Stars’ opener in the 40th minute with a fine header.
Sweden-based winger Ovella Ochieng’ doubled the lead after the breather with a direct free-kick in the 52nd minute.
James Mazembe sealed the thumping at the hour mark, scoring directly from a free kick.

The hosts grabbed the consolation from a similar position late into the game but it wasn’t enough as they bowed out on 8-1 aggregate.
Kenya will now face either Seychelles or Sudan in the second round of the qualifiers.
The U-23 Afcon finals are set for Egypt in November 2019.
