    Maxwell Burkholder, born on November 1, 1997, in Los Angeles, California, is an American actor and voice artist whose career has spanned over two decades.

    The son of former actors Kelly Wolf and Scott Burkholder, Max grew up in a creative household steeped in the entertainment industry.

    His mother is known for roles in Graveyard Shift (1990) and Grey’s Anatomy (2005), while his father appeared in films like Con Air (1997).

    Max’s Jewish heritage and early exposure to acting fueled his passion, leading him to begin performing at age five.

    After attending Campbell Hall School, he briefly studied biology at Harvard University as part of the Class of 2021, where he also explored theater, before leaving to pursue acting full-time.

    His early years were marked by a flair for voice acting, bringing characters like Chomper in The Land Before Time TV series (2007–2008) and Roo in My Friends Tigger & Pooh (2007–2010) to life.

    He also voiced World in Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends: Destination Imagination (2008), showcasing his knack for animation.

    Guest spots on shows like CSI: Miami (“Death Pool 100”) and The Suite Life of Zack & Cody (as Billy) followed, building his resume.

    His breakout role came in 2010 as Max Braverman on NBC’s Parenthood (2010–2015), where he portrayed a boy with Asperger’s syndrome across six seasons.

    Working with behavioral psychologists to ensure accuracy, Burkholder’s sensitive performance won hearts and critical praise.

    In 2013, he played Charlie Sandin in the horror-thriller The Purge, later appearing in flashbacks in The First Purge (2018).

    His voice work continued with roles in Family Guy (2005–2017) and Invincible (2021–present), where he voices Oliver Grayson.

    Recently, he starred as John Bennett in the 2024 Ted prequel series on Peacock, blending comedy with his signature depth.

    His ensemble performance in Daddy Day Care netted a 2004 Young Artist Award nomination for Best Young Ensemble in a Feature Film, signaling his early promise.
