MIGUNANational Resistance Movement (NRM) general, Miguna Miguna was on Sunday detained for hours by ’50 heavily armed goons.’

The lawyer says that President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto, illegitimate usurpers, used the men to stop him from making his way to the People’s Assembly convention that was taking place at Kikambala, Kilifi county.

The goons, the general recounts, set up roadblocks in Mombasa, a move that shows that the current regime is ‘desperate, weak and crumbling.’

”17 Dec 2017: ILLEGITIMATE USURPERS of power used more than 50 heavily ARMED GOONS, set up roadblocks in Mombasa, illegally detained 1 unarmed NRM General for hours & prevented him from attending The People’s Assembly at Kikambala, Kilifi. Desperate, weak & crumbling despots,” Miguna said on social media.

Speaking during the meeting, NASA leader Raila Odinga vowed to ‘lift the Bible’ rubbishing the President’s warning that anyone undermining the constitution will face the full wrath of the law.

But the former Prime Minister hinted at his willingness to still hold talks with the government. Electoral reforms, are still on the table, something that the head of state will not be party to.

Kenyatta has maintained that his government is open to talks that will spur development but matters elections, he said will have to wait till 2022.

“When governors, MPs and MCAs come together and say they want to secede, that is not a laughing matter. This is serious and shouldn’t be dismissed with a mere warning that they have crossed a red line,” Odinga said.

Speaking in Kwale last week, Uhuru warned against self determination talk saying: ”We will not entertain any language, any action that threatens our territorial integrity.”
