    Minor’s body found in water tank after suspected murder in Nyamira village

    Police are investigating an incident where a minor was found murdered and his body dumped in a water tank in Getare area, Nyamira County.

    The body of the deceased had visible injuries below the left knee when it was found hours after he went missing in Mokomoni village, police said.

    The motive of the murder was not immediately known. His body lay in a 50 liter water tank.

    Police moved the body to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures following the March 30 incident.

    And detectives are investigating an incident where a decomposed body of a man was found near the Chania River in Thika, Kiambu County.

    The body was found in a thicket and moved to the mortuary pending an identification and autopsy.

    Police said they were investigating murder in the incident.

    The body’s skull was missing when it was discovered.

    Elsewhere in Rangwe, Homa Bay County, police are investigating an incident where a man was killed in a dispute over land.

    The incident happened in a fight between two brothers.

    One Moses Ochieng was killed after being stabbed and died in hospital.

    The assailant escaped the scene soon after learning his brother had died.

    Police said the body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and hunt for the missing suspect.

    Meanwhile, police in Navakholo, Kakamega County are looking for the head of a woman who was found murdered.

    She was identified as Jackline Awuor. Her husband was arrested pending further investigations. The suspect had been in hiding, police said of the March 29 incident.

    The motive of the murder was not immediately known even as officials search for the missing head.

    In Ena area, Embu County, a man was found dead in a maize plantation after suspected murder.

    The body of Moses Njeru, 70 was found with injuries in the abdomen and shoulders.

    Police said they are yet to know the motive of the murder and that the body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy.
