Players of Mount Kenya United are currently stranded at City Stadium, Nairobi.
The team should be in Machakos for a Kenyan Premier League match against Gor Mahia at the Kenyatta Stadium.
According to the players they lack means of transport to Machakos and may as well hand Gor Mahia a walkover.
The club’s patron is politician Moses Kuria.
While assuming the role, Kuria promised to make the club one of the biggest in Kenyan football.
But less than a year down the line the club is one of the most financially challenged and are facing relegation.
