Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has celebrated the retirement of his longtime driver, Gideon Kisangi, praising his loyalty, dedication and professionalism over more than 40 years.

In a heartfelt tribute, Mudavadi said Kisangi’s journey with the Mudavadi family began when he briefly drove his father, the late Moses Mudavadi, before becoming his personal driver for four decades.

“His remarkable journey with our family spans over 40 years,” Mudavadi said, noting that Kisangi had maintained an extraordinary safety record, completing his service without a single accident.

Mudavadi said Kisangi’s contribution to the family extended beyond his professional duties, as he witnessed several important milestones, including Mudavadi’s marriage to his wife, Tessie, the birth and upbringing of their children, and the weddings of each of them.

“He had the special distinction of driving each of them on their respective wedding days,” Mudavadi said.

The Prime Cabinet Secretary described Kisangi’s story as a reflection of the enduring value of loyalty, trust, respect, determination and hard work, which he said were increasingly rare in today’s world.

“As he begins his well-earned retirement, we celebrate his loyalty, professionalism and decades of dedicated service with immense gratitude,” Mudavadi said.

He added that Kisangi’s service had reminded the Mudavadi family that these attributes remain essential in serving humanity and God.

There were no details on the driver’s family.
