Police in Eastleigh, Nairobi, are investigating the death of a 19-year-old boy who reportedly collapsed after being struck with an unknown object during a quarrel.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at around 7:10 p.m.

Police said the deceased, identified by the name Zakaria, had been involved in a disagreement with another young man. During the quarrel, Zakaria was allegedly hit with an unidentified object before collapsing.

He was rushed to Nairobi East Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police visited the scene and found the deceased’s body lying on the rear passenger seat of a Toyota Succeed.

The suspect reportedly fled after the incident.

Scenes of Crime personnel from Starehe processed and documented the scene before the body was transferred to the City Mortuary, where it is awaiting further police action.

Meanwhile, police in Keiyo North, Elgeyo Marakwet County, are investigating the suspected murder of a 34-year-old woman allegedly killed by her husband.

The deceased, identified as Caroline Kangogo, was reportedly attacked at her home on Tuesday, September 15, 2026.

The suspect allegedly struck his wife four times on the back of the head using a sharp object before fleeing the scene.

Police recovered a blood-stained panga, a bow, three arrows and a wooden stick at the scene. The items have been preserved as part of the investigation.

The scene was processed, and the deceased’s body was transferred to Iten Hospital mortuary, where it is awaiting autopsy.

The motive for the alleged killing had not been established by the time of the report. Police said efforts to trace and arrest the suspect were ongoing.
