muthamaUkambani leaders affiliated to the NASA coalition including Senator Johnston Muthama and Wavinya Ndeti have condemned the circulation of leaflets in the area suggesting that Raila Odinga would rule for 10 years should he win the August election.

The leaflets are said to have been distributed around bus stations, markets and other public areas in Machakos, Kitui and Makueni counties.

According to Senator Muthama, Uhuru Kenyatta’s party was responsible for circulating the alleged leaflets in order to divide the Kamba community.

“They are clearly trying to tilt the vote and incite the Kambas that Raila is going to be in leadership for ten years. I want to assure the Kamba community, Kenyans and those supporting NASA that there is nothing like that,” he told Capital FM.

Machakos Gubernatorial candidate on a Wiper ticket, Wavinya Ndeti also accused Jubilee MPs of the ploy to confuse the Kamba nation.

“Our opponents are going rounds circulating leaflets in Machakos, Kitui and Makueni saying those Raila 10 years we want to tell them that in Ukambani we are one,” she said.

The same leaflets were distributed in Kisumu county on Wednesday. The angry youths set them on fire saying they were only meant to discredit the deal sidned by both Raila and Kalonzo Musyoka.

In the MOU, Odinga agrees to being a one term President should he unseat Uhuru Kenyatta.
