    Muthama Released On Bail, Case To Be Heard Next Year

    Johnson Muthama, Senator Machakos County

    Former Machakos senator Johnston Muthama who was arrested and accused of hate speech was before the court on Tuesday where he denied charges of incitement to violence.

    He was accused of saying or purporting that President Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto should go to Uhuru park and face him (Muthama) and James Orengo in a fist fight.

    These remarks were said in Isinya, Kajiado county during NASA campaigns.

    He was released on Ksh.500,000 bond or bail of Ksh.300,000.

    The case is set to be heard in January 23,2018.
