    Nakuru Chopper Found, Three Bodies Still Missing

    nakuru crashSonko Rescue team on Friday recovered the wreckage of the helicopter that crashed in Lake Nakuru three weeks ago.

    The rescue team whose competence and qualifications were questioned by Kenyans has been on site for the past three weeks.

    The Saturday morning crash claimed five lives, including that of Captain Apollo Malowa and Anthony Kipyegon whose remains were found on October, 24.

    Three other occupants, among them Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika’s media team that was headed to Narok for Jubilee campaigns.

    The chopper crashed almost immediately after take off from the Jarika Hotel.

    Also part of the rescue team were experts from various fields and professional divers drawn from Kenya Navy assisted by Kenya rescue Divers and Kenya life savers.

    Malowa, who was eulogized as a highly talented, principled, social man was laid to rest at his parents’ home in Olago-Kamkwaya village in Bondo, Siaya County on November 7, 2017.
