National Super Alliance (NASA) was on Wednesday at Kabarnet, Baringo county where they were not well received.
They were met with protests, tearing of T-shirts and burning of placards.
It is said that things got angry after Jubilee supporters learnt that the Deputy President, William Ruto was heckled in Kisumu.
Raila Odinga and CCM’s Isaac Ruto were forced to cut short their speeches after a section of the crowd at Kenol petrol station became rowdy.
Some of the youths hurled torn pieces of placards at the dais as the leaders exited the stage.
“As ‘Joshua’, I am a God-send. I will make sure I take this nation to the promised land called ‘Canaan’,” Raila said before things went south.
“We are sure of defeating President Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto at the polls.”
It was when he was addressing the runaway insecurity in Baringo that some youths shouted ‘Jubilee Tosha! Raila Nyumbani!’.
The irate youths burned some of the NASA placards to show their dissatisfaction with how Ruto was received in Kisumu.
“This is rubbish…NASA cannot come and intimidate us in our own home turf yet we are rightfully in Jubilee” shouted a protester.
Rutto said; “If you continue shouting like this, then this meeting shall end.”
After the leaders left, supporters of both parties engaged in exchanges that sparked tension in Kabarnet town.
Baringo county is considered a Jubilee stronghold.
