    NASA Okays Al Ghurair, OT Morpho’s Involvement In October Presidential Poll

    nasaNational Super Alliance (NASA) co-principal and Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has said that the coalition is okay with Dubai based Al Ghurair firm and IT company OT Morpho’s involvement in the repeat poll as long as IEBC gets rid of commission’s secretariat and CEO Ezra Chiloba.

    Speaking to the Standard, Musyoka also pointed out that the opposition was going to participate in the polls if the Jubilee government put on hold amendments to election laws.

    He said that the amendments were ill timed and if signed into law, would delay the October 26 polls.

    The former Vice President also said that the ruling party was scared of going up against them hence the ‘unconstitutional laws.’

    ”If Chebukati fires Chiloba today, and President Kenyatta and his Deputy drop their mischievous Election Laws Amendment Bill currently executed on their behalf in Parliament, I will request Raila that we teach Jubilee a lesson in the repeat polls,” he said.

    ”If they pass the laws and Kenyatta assents to them, we will go to court immediately,” he added.

    Musyoka also maintained that he and Raila Odinga would not participate in the on going anti-IEBC protests but would continue nonetheless until their ‘irreducible minimum’ demands are met.

    Chebukati on Friday formed a seven member team that he said would oversee the repeat polls and ensure they were free, fair and credible.

    Missing on the list was Chiloba, Nancy Kariuki and Silas Rotich.
