ndiiNation Media Group has reportedly terminated David Ndii’s weekly column published every Saturday on the Saturday Nation.

Ndii is Jubilee government critic and has for a while now been known for calling for the splitting of Kenya into two; Central and Peopl’s Republics.

Business Today reports that today’s column, ‘Why IMF, CBK haven’t been telling Kenyans the truth about our debt’ was the economist’s last piece after writing for the Nation for close to four years now.

Nation’s Editor-in-chief, Tom Mshindi communicated the decision which takes effect immediately.

In today’s piece, the NASA strategist said: “There is also a tautological problem. Our foreign currency reserves are healthy because they include the Eurobond and syndicated loan dollars. Without these, they would be precarious. Our export earnings have stagnated. The bankers are mixing up their stocks and flows. It is like taking an overdraft, putting it in a fixed deposit, and then your banker assures your creditors that they don’t have to worry about your cash flow since you have a strong liquidity position.”

Ndii has in the past few months been arrested and had his passport withdrawn by the government.

According to Business Daily, Ndii’s woes could be because of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s rumored intentions to acquire the Nation Media Group.

Should the head of state buy out Aga Khan, the media house will be expected to toe the government’s line.

The Nation also terminated Larry Madowo’s column, ‘Front Row.’

Madowo who doubles up as a technology editor at NTV had his piece titled ‘Why it’s a perilous time to be a journalist in Kenya’ rejected by the Nation but was published by CNN on February 9.
