The National Construction Authority (NCA) has issued a stern warning to contractors who have not renewed their licenses for two consecutive years.

In a statement on Tuesday, January 27, NCA CEO Maurice Akech said the Authority will take action against contractors who have failed to pay their annual subscription fees.

“Pursuant to Section 25(1)(c) of the Act, the Board of the Authority may delete the name of any registered contractor who fails to pay annual fees for two consecutive years,” the notice reads. “Contractors whose names are deleted cannot be re-registered under any other name, as per Section 25(5) of the Act.”

The warning applies to all contractors who had not renewed their Annual Practicing Licenses as of January 1, 2026.

Akech urged them to settle outstanding fees by February 10, 2026, to avoid removal from the NCA Register of Contractors.

He also reminded contractors that license renewal requires earning ten Continuous Professional Development (CPD) points through NCA or NCA-accredited seminars, in line with Regulation 14 of the NCA Regulations (2014).

All renewals must be processed through the NCA online portal: https://portal.nca.go.ke.
