Nyando MP Fred Outa found himself on a hostile ground when he went to mourn the late Miruka Owuor. According to sources in Ahero, the MP was attacked by youths believed to be supporters of Governor Ranguma.

The youth were angered by the acts of Outa to kidnap the ODM returning officer whom he took to Nyakach and forced to announce Nyong’o as the incoming Governor.

At the funeral, angry youth pelted his car with stones breaking windows while some even shot at his car. It is East Wawidhi MCA Moses Ochele who incited the crowd that Outa is behind the bungled ODM nominations after which he invited Outa to the dias to come and address the crowd.

Former Attorney General Amos Wako was one of the dignitaries present.

The melee forced the mourners to quickly bury Miruka Owuor.
