High Court Justice Hedwig Ong’udi has granted NYS suspects Sh.1 million cash bail or Sh.5 million bond and Sh.2 million surety each.
The Judge ruled that there is no material proving that they will interfere with investigations or are a threat to national security.
The NYS scam suspects must however deposit their passports or any other travel documents with the court and report at least once a week at the DCI offices.
The suspects PS Youth Affairs Lilian Omollo, former NYS director Richard Ndubai and the Ngirita family members have been ordered not to return to their work places without police supervision and should not contact anyone from the investigation team or the witnesses.
They were arrested 3 weeks ago after evidence was released showing payments made to the individuals.
The suspects have also been ordered to attend all court sessions.
