    Betty Kyallo and Dennis Okari

KTN’s Betty Kyalo walked away from her six months long marriage to fellow journalist Dennis Okari citing infidelity and family interference.

Speaking to True Love magazine, the ever stunning news anchor told her truth regarding her short lived marriage to her Baby Daddy.

Going by what the mother of one said, she was unhappy in her marriage. She revealed that her ex husband’s family was one of the reasons why she walked away.

A few months into the marriage, Betty realized that she had gotten married for all the wrong reasons.

Ms Kyalo did however reveal that Dennis did really stand her up on their traditional wedding ceremony. NTV’s investigative journalist could on that day not be reached, leaving her her and her entire family stranded and embarrassed.

She said: “I needed to find out what time their entourage would arrive. But he did not pick up my call. I tried calling him again after an hour and once again it went unanswered.’

Her family later tried reaching Okari but he was still not answering.

“At 3PM, when we tried to call again, all their phones were off. By the time the sun was going down, it was obvious that I had been stood up on my traditional wedding.”

Her family tried to stop her from getting married to him but she was ‘in love.’ She pushed on with her wedding because she wanted to set a good example to the young people looking up to her.

    Mombasa Governor, Hassan Joho

She also acknowledged that she did date Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho for a while. She claimed that she and the Sultan connected most especially because they were going through the same thing.

Joho was apparently going through a separation just like her.

The relationship did not last as the Governor was looking for a ‘chilled out’ person. He also asked her to quit her job but she was not ready to give up her life.
