iPhone 4Just like we mentioned, Orange has  just made our promise come true by launching the new iPhone 4. The new iPhone, manufactured by Apple, will retail exclusively at Orange Customer Experience Centres and dealer outlets in the 16GB and 32GB variations.

Orange Chief Executive Officer Mickael Ghossein said the decision to launch the iPhone 4 in Kenya was informed by the increased thirst for data and entertainment based mobile phones among the company’s customers and the dynamic mobile telephony market.

“Consumers on the other hand, are more sophisticated, demanding more data offerings as opposed to the voice services that have hitherto been the hallmark of mobile telephony. The handset is no longer just a communicating tool. It is now a source of entertainment, gaming gadget, and an increasing effective business tool”, said Ghossein.

The new iPhone comes with a 5 megapixel camera; a clearer display, HD video recording, multitasking, video calls and many other features that will make the I-Phone 4 experience better than you can get on any other phones.

Said Ghossein, “As you know, the iPhone is not designed to be just a phone. It comes with many entertainment and lifestyle features- with the capacity to store the music you like and movies that you can watch while travelling. The customer will therefore select the I-Phone 4 that suits them best based on these capabilities. In terms of colours, you have a choice between black and white, for you to choose the colour that represents your persona”.

Statistics from the USA show that the iPhone is the highest selling smart phone in the market, owing to its ability to blend in as both a business and a lifestyle phone.

According to GSMarena.com;  one most reputable mobile phone review websites, “The iPhone 4 will probably outsell the older generations and there are good reasons for that. It’s just gotten sexier, flaunts a killer screen, incomparably better imaging and a blazing fast CPU. Apple offers great support for their products and usually takes good care everything runs smoothly on every iPhone. It’s also got one of the richest application markets out there”.
UPDATE: Orange has just sent me this flyer. The prices indicated are Ksh 30,499 (16GB) and 39,999 (32GB) with contract. Data will be retailing at Ksh 7 per MB
