According to Arsenal’s legend, Tony Adams, Mesut Ozil needs to be roughed up and kicked by his team mates in training to toughen him up.
The ex-Gunners captain says that the therapy worked for Arsenal’s legend, Dennis Bergkamp. He adds that the Dutch arrived in North London talented but weak physically for the English games. After couples of rough, rigorous and hard tackling and kicks from team mates at Highbury, he became adapted to the game.
The former defender adds that English game needs players who are both physically and mentally strong and Ozil can be an asset if he adapts.
This comes after former Gunner’s midfielder, Paul Merson claimed that the German and Henrik Mhikhitaryan are too weak to fit in Arsenal’s current game under Unai Emery.
