    Parking fee dispute leaves 40-year-old man dead in Mombasa

    A 40-year-old parking attendant died after he was allegedly overpowered and fatally injured during a fight over parking fees in Kianjaro area of Shimanzi, Mombasa County.

    The deceased, identified as Evans Odhiambo, was involved in a disagreement with a fellow parking attendant over payment of a parking fee for a trailer at around 12:10am on Sunday, October 4, 2026.
    According to police the disagreement escalated into a physical confrontation during which Bora allegedly overpowered Odhiambo.

    Odhiambo fell to the ground and died at the scene.

    Police officers from Makupa Police Station and DCI Urban visited and processed the scene. The deceased’s body was found with no visible injuries and was transferred to the Coast General Hospital Mortuary, where it was preserved pending an autopsy.

    The suspect reportedly fled the scene after the incident.

    Police have launched investigations and efforts to trace and arrest the suspect are underway.

    And a 25-year-old man died after he was allegedly stabbed in the chest with a sharp object and dumped in a sewage trench near Ronald Ngala Primary School in Dandora, Nairobi.

    The deceased, identified as Refoum Ouma, was found injured in the early hours of Sunday, October 4, 2026.

    Ouma’s brother rushed him to Brother Andre Hospital in Dandora Phase 4, where officers found him receiving first aid.

    Police observed a stab wound to his chest, with no other visible injuries.

    He was subsequently referred to Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital for further treatment but succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.

    His body was preserved at the hospital mortuary pending autopsy.

    Police said the motive for the killing and the identity of the perpetrator had not yet been established.

    Investigations have commenced as officers work to establish the circumstances surrounding the fatal stabbing.
