Embakasi MP Babu Owino has asked Deputy President William Ruto to wait his turn for his shot at the Presidency.

Speaking at the late Ben Oluoch’s burial on Monday, Babu said that should the politicking game change to a debt repayment scheme then it should start with the Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga era.

“The debt between Mzee Jomo Kenyatta and Jaramogi Oginga Odinga, it has not been paid. The next one is between Mwai Kibaki and Raila Odinga, it has not been paid yet. I know you have a debt to pay to DP Ruto but he should wait on the line because all the other debts have not been paid yet and they must be paid,” he said.

The first time legislator was responding to Murang’a Senator Irungu Kang’ata who noted that Deputy President William Ruto has never gone up against ODM party leader Raila Odinga.

The senate majority whip asked the people of Migori to vote for Ruto should he vie for the Presidency come 2022.

A section of Mt. Kenya leaders have vowed to relentlessly campaign for the DP because the Kikuyu community owes him for delivering the Kalenjin vote both in 2013 and 2017.

But Ruto while speaking at All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi on Sunday hit back at leaders who will not stop with the “political debt” debate saying that no one owes him anything.

“I know there has been a debate of who owes who what. But I want to remind leaders that in Romans 13:8, it says that owe no man nothing except the debt of love for one another,” Ruto retorted.

“… and no person or community in Kenya owes anybody anything including myself, the only thing we owe ourselves is the debt of love,” he continued.

It has also been said that the Jubilee Party 20 year plan was for Uhuru to take the first 10 years and then support the “hustler” for another ten years.
