    Penny Taylor, born on May 24, 1981, in Melbourne, Australia, is a celebrated former professional basketball player and assistant coach.

    She enjoyed a remarkable 19-year career, most notably with the Phoenix Mercury in the WNBA, where she secured three championships in 2007, 2009, and 2014.

    Taylor was also a three-time WNBA All-Star. Her achievements extend to the Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL), where she won a title with the Australian Institute of Sport.

    In 2006, she was named MVP of the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup, leading Australia to a gold medal.

    Taylor’s WNBA career was marked by significant achievements, particularly during her time with the Phoenix Mercury.

    She was initially drafted by the Cleveland Rockers in 2001 but found her greatest success with the Mercury.

    During her tenure with the team, she won three WNBA championships in 2007, 2009, and 2014.

    Taylor was also recognized as a three-time WNBA All-Star, highlighting her consistent performance and impact on the team.
