Peter MunyaFormer Meru county governor Peter Munya has said that he will not withdraw the petition against Kiraitu Murungi. He said that he decided to rally behind the re-election of Uhuru Kenyatta  after a week of de-camping to the opposition.

He said that he still believes that the elections for the gubernatorial seat were flawed.

Peter Munya said that he would attend meetings if Uhuru Kenyatta was present saying that he will not campaign alongside Kiraitu.

He said that president Kenyatta asked him to campaign for his re election saying that the problems they had with Kiraitu were local and should be resolved locally without affecting his re election bid.
