    Public Servants Required To Have E-Passports By February

    The Head of the Public Service Commission, Joseph Kinyua has directed that Public servants would be required to have the E-passport by February 28 of 2019.

    He said that the public servants who will not have migrated  to the  E-passports will not be cleared for travel and will not travel until after September 1.

    This directive applies to all Public servants including cabinet secretaries, governors, principal secretaries, accountants and all members of independent commissions.

    The directive  is in line with the launch of the migration to E-passports from the current machine readable passports. This old passports will cease to be operational on September 1.

    A desk for the said public servants of Job group Q has been set up on the 8the floor of Nyayo house but will cease being operational on February 15.
