Men in Burundi will no longer drink milk and refuse to buy the cow that produces the milk.

Unmarried couples in Burundi have until the end of the year to legalize their relationships through church or state registrations.

This follows a law signed in May this year by Pierre Nkurunziza In May, President which the government says will “help protect women and create a more moral society.”

Nkurunziza a former rebel and a self-described born-again Protestant Christian, claims a legal document recognizing marriage will help protect women and their children, especially on issues such as inheritance.
