Alego Usonga MP Samuel Atandi has said he and his NASA counterparts are ready to resign and leave their seats vacant for  fresh elections.

“Leaving our seats vacant is not a problem. The current crisis can be solved when a fresh election is ordered,” he said.

The legislator blamed parliament for woes bedeviling the country and said the house stands to be dissolved to clear way for a fresh election within 90 days.

“Parliament has failed in its duties to end the current political problems the country is facing, it should therefore be dissolved to pave way for a fresh election,” claimed Mr Atandi.

He was speaking during the funeral of Ms Jane Were, a former civic leader at Pala Koguta Village in Ndhiwa, Homa Bay County.

Mr Atandi said operations of the National assembly as currently constituted is unconstitutional.

“The solution to the current crisis is to have parliament dissolved to enable Kenyans go for a fresh elections. We instead are going to have peoples’ assemblies where Kenyans are going to use in agitation for fresh polls,” he said adding that the 12th parliament has contributed to this stalemate and therefore it has outlived its usefulness.

“Parliament has failed to give direction in the current political stalemate pitting President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga. It deserves to be dissolved immediately,” said Mr Atandi.

They vowed the coalition shall rally its supporters across the country to ensure the boycott against products and services of those companies they have accused of aiding the Jubilee government to rig election continues in earnest.
