Kenya’s Rich Mavoko has won the case to terminate his contract with Diamond’s Wasafi Classic Baby (WCB) Record label.

Rumors had been going round that the Rudi singer had left the record label but Diamond’s manager, Babu Tale dismissed the rumors saying that they will speak about Rich Mavoko when the time was right.

Rich Mavoko did an exclusive interview with Tanzania’s Kwanza TV citing that Diamond had no plans for him but was bent on overworking him.

He shared that Diamond Platnumz was constantly on his case, pushing him to release new songs without taking a break. He felt that the label did not put into consideration his own desires and dreams for his career.

Mavoko also mentioned that Diamond never had time for him like other artists, for him it was just work- related conversations making him to feel like there was biased treatment.

Rich Mavoko had been signed at the record label for a little over two years.

His case was heard by Tanzania’s music and arts board, Baraza la Sanaa Tanzania (Basata) who determined that Rich Mavoko is allowed to terminate his contract.

The artist ad been signed at King Kaka’s record label before moving to Wasafi.

He is the first artist signed under Wasafi Classic Baby to leave the record label.
