Rebecca Quin, better known by her ring name Becky Lynch, is an Irish professional wrestler, actress, and writer born on January 30, 1987, in Limerick, Ireland, and raised primarily in Dublin.
She has been signed to WWE since 2013 and is widely recognized as one of the most popular and accomplished performers of her generation, often called “The Man.”
Lynch rose to global prominence through her in-ring skill, charismatic presence, and pioneering role in elevating women’s wrestling.
She is married to fellow WWE superstar Seth Rollins (Colby Lopez) since 2021, and the couple has a daughter named Roux, born in December 2020.
Siblings
Becky has one living sibling, an older brother named Richy Quin.
Richy wrestled professionally for a short period under the ring name Gonzo de Mondo.
In 2002 they enrolled together at a wrestling school in Ireland run by Fergal Devitt (later known as Finn Bálor) and Paul Tracey.
Early in her career, Lynch occasionally teamed with her brother in mixed tag-team matches while competing as Rebecca Knox on the Irish independent scene.
Career
Lynch began training as a professional wrestler in June 2002 at age 15 and made her debut on November 11 of that year under the name Rebecca Knox.

She competed across Ireland, Europe, and North America on the independent circuit, most notably capturing the inaugural SuperGirls Championship in Elite Canadian Championship Wrestling in 2005.
A serious head injury sustained during a match in 2006 forced her into an extended hiatus lasting several years.
She returned to the ring in 2012 and signed a developmental contract with WWE in April 2013, relocating to the NXT brand.
After refining her character and skills in developmental, she was called up to the main roster.
Lynch became the inaugural SmackDown Women’s Champion in 2016 and steadily built momentum through high-profile rivalries.
Her career reached a turning point in 2018–2019 when she adopted the “The Man” persona, won the 2019 Women’s Royal Rumble, and headlined WrestleMania 35 in a historic triple-threat match against Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey.
She later took maternity leave in 2020, returned at SummerSlam 2021, and continued to compete at the highest level, including stints across Raw, SmackDown, and NXT while also expanding into acting projects.
Accolades
Lynch’s list of accomplishments places her among the most decorated women’s wrestlers in WWE history.
She is a multiple-time world champion, having held the Raw Women’s Championship on two occasions and the SmackDown Women’s Championship (later rebranded the Women’s World Championship) multiple times, including a historic simultaneous reign of both titles after WrestleMania 35.
She captured the NXT Women’s Championship in 2023 and has won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, becoming the sixth Women’s Triple Crown Champion and subsequently the sixth Women’s Grand Slam Champion.
Additional major achievements include victory in the 2019 Women’s Royal Rumble match and recognition as the first woman to main-event WrestleMania.
Outside official titles she has received industry awards such as Wrestler of the Year honors from media outlets and has been celebrated for helping break barriers for women’s wrestling on WWE’s biggest stages.
