President William Ruto and several Cabinet Secretaries have made new appointments to key government parastatals, according to a gazette notice published on November 14, 2025.
President Ruto appointed former Magarini MP Michael Thoyah Kingi as a member of the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) for a six-year term. Kingi, an engineer by profession, holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology and a Diploma in Civil Engineering from the Kenya Institute of Highways and Building Technology. He served as Magarini MP between 2017 and 2022.
Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Migos Ogamba has appointed Mohamed Sheikh Gabow as the Non-Executive Chairperson of the Kenya Education Management Institute (KEMI) for a three-year term.
In the Ministry of Gender, Culture and Children Services, Cabinet Secretary Hannah Wendot Cheptumo has appointed Beatrice Jepkoech Changwony as a member of the Kenya National Library Service board for three years.
Additionally, Attorney-General Dorcas Agik Oduo appointed Dr Ellias Billy Nyonje, Simon Malonza, Rina Chatrath, and Nancy Manyara to be Members of the Nairobi Centre for International Arbitration, for a period of three years.
Meanwhile, Co-operatives and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Cabinet Secretary Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya has named Lucy Sophina R. Loronyokie and Caroline K. Karanja as members of the Board of the Micro and Small Enterprises Authority, each serving a three-year term.
