Deputy President William Ruto has denied being booed in Vihiga, Western Kenya during a campaign rally meant to drum up support for President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Ruto is said to have been heckled by a number of the Majengo market traders on Thursday afternoon.
Clearing the air, the DP has said his motorcade was not part of the convoy that had made a stop at the said market.
He has said that it was Stanley Livondo’s entourage that was booed by a crowd hired to cause a stir.
The deputy party leader Jubilee has maintained that he flew to the rally and took control of the situation.

While there the DP thanked the people of Vihiga for the 18,000 votes given to Kenyatta and asked them to turn out in their numbers and once again back a development oriented Kenyatta.
He also accused Raila Odinga of being scared of losing to Uhuru for a second time by an even larger margin.
