Deputy President William Ruto is said to have sneaked into Kisumu County on Friday evening to attend the wedding of the children of Owners of Kibos Sugar and one of the major sugar importers in the western region.
DP Ruto’s 8 hour long visit is said to have left many people talking as he did not travel with his usual motorcade and was driven in a Toyota Land Cruiser V8 owned by one of the local businessmen.
The Kisumu County Government was not aware of DP Ruto’s visit as he was being hosted by the mogul families.
The wedding was held at Simba Club, Kisumu, where security had been heightened through the day and night.

The Couple, Amrita Hayer and Simranjeet Patel are said to have started their celebration on Monday with the celebrations going throughout the week to the weekend.
Amrita Hayer is from the Hayer Bishan Singh family, owners of Hayer Bishan Singh and Sons while Simranjeet Patel is grandson of Chanan Singh and son to Raju Patel, owner of Kibos Sugar.
Former MCA turned business mogul, Eddy Anayo was the provider of decor and entertainment at the venue through his company Homeland Events.
The former County assembly member now has interests cutting across from real estate, transport and events management. He also owns Phiaton Travels in Kisumu, hiring high end vehicles to the who and who of Kisumu County.
The main wedding is being held today in Kisumu where other prominent leaders like Raila Odinga are expected to be in attend.
