President William Ruto has led national leaders in sending Easter greetings to Kenyans, calling for peace, love, and road safety during the holiday.

In a short video shared on his official social media pages, President Ruto wished the nation a happy Easter and reminded road users to be careful during their travels.

“Good morning. Happy Easter, everyone. Please be safe on the road and be blessed. To all families, friends, and all Kenyans, Happy Easter,” he said in the video.

Earlier, the President also shared an Easter message poster on his social media accounts, saying, “May the love and sacrifice of Jesus fill your heart with peace on this Easter.”

First Lady Rachel Ruto also shared a message of faith and hope, quoting John 11:25: “…I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live…” She encouraged Kenyans to reflect on the meaning of Easter.

“As you gather with family and friends to celebrate this Easter, may your hearts overflow with hope, love, and the profound peace of Christ’s resurrection,” she wrote. “Easter reminds us that light triumphs over darkness, and life conquers death—a promise that renews our faith and fills us with gratitude.”

National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula also sent warm wishes to Kenyans, calling Easter a time of deep reflection and spiritual renewal.

“Easter is a powerful reminder that even in our darkest hour, light prevails,” Wetang’ula said. “It is a celebration of life, sacrifice, and the enduring promise that love, mercy, and grace will always triumph.”

He urged Kenyans to live out their faith through acts of service, unity, and compassion.

“As we celebrate this sacred season, I extend my heartfelt Easter wishes to all Kenyans, especially the Christian faithful, as they mark the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ with prayer, reflection, and renewed hope,” he added. “May the joy of the risen Christ fill our hearts with courage, renew our sense of purpose, and inspire us to be agents of transformation in our homes, our communities, and our nation.”
