Chairman of Sarova Hotels, MS Vohra, his wife, sister and wife of his late son (JS Vohra) have died in a road accident at Kiungwani, Makueni County.
The accident occurred at around 1530hrs according to police reports. The accident involved Vohra’s Toyota Prado, which had his family on board.
At the time of going to press, JS Vohra’s son was reportedly admitted in a Nairobi hospital and in a critical condition.
“As a result of the accident two passengers namely Mahinder Singn aged 49yearrs and Reena Vohra aged 51years died on the spot while Atu Vorha sustained serious head injuries. Swaran Kaur sustained head injuries while the driver Saveer Vorha sustained slight injuries on his both legs,” read a police report in part.

The family was headed to Nairobi from Mombasa via the Mombasa Road.
The injured were rushed to Sultan Hamud level five hospital for medication.
Bodies of the deceased were moved to Machakos level five morgue awaiting autopsy.
The motor vehicle was towed to Salama Police Station for inspection.
The late JS Vohra is the former Sarova MD, who died in a road accident in November 2017.
