Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina has finally managed to register a trust to aid in the conservation of the Mau forest.

The senator who has been vocal in supporting the Mau forest eviction said through his twitter that through the trust he will put up a fence surrounding the Mau forest and finish the debate.

Kenyans on Twitter were keen to support the initiative stating that it was the only way to protect the forest.

Here are some of the comments:

That's the only solution left…let the busybodies make noise, but all in all the forest must be protected at all cost.

I support the conservation of forest your Honorable senator. My plea is just for the government to elucidates the cutline and define it well. We must protect both humanity and environment . This two are very symbiotic in nature. Husband and wife in nature.
