    Government Gazettes KNUT SG Sossion As State Officer, Ceases To be Trade Unionist

    Kenya National Union Of Teachers (KNUT)Secretary General Wilson Sossion ceases to be a trade unionist after Government move to  gazette him, Edward Kahiga, Tom Odege (now Nyatike MP) and others as state officers.

    Sossion who was nominated by ODM party in the National Assembly and his team are expected to cease their roles as trade unionists immediately.

    The KNUT SG has been a fierce critic of the government especially on matters education with his latest stunt being rubbishing CS Matiang’is education reforms terming them ‘foreign and disastrous.’

    In the August 8 elections, Sossion openly endorsed NASA and asked teachers Country wide to vote for the coalition.

    There have also been power struggles between Sossion and the KNUT Chair Mudzo Nzili, fights that have threatened to split the union with the two even supporting opposing political divides.
