Suzanne Todd, born Suzanne Marie Todd on June 1, 1965, in Sherman Oaks, California, is a prominent American film and television producer whose work has left a significant mark on Hollywood.

The daughter of Leslie Todd Farina, a professor emeritus and former pharmacy owner, and an investment banker father, Todd grew up in a family that didn’t initially encourage a career in filmmaking.

However, her passion for visual storytelling, sparked at a young age, led her to pursue a degree in Film Production from the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts.

Her maternal grandmother, Joi Lansing, was an actress known for her roles in films like Orson Welles’ Touch of Evil, providing a subtle connection to the entertainment industry that influenced Todd’s career path.

    Siblings

Suzanne has two sisters, Jennifer Todd and Catherine Todd, who were raised alongside her in Sherman Oaks, California.

Jennifer Todd, the younger of the two, has followed a similar path in the entertainment industry, establishing herself as a well-known producer.

She has worked closely with Suzanne under the Team Todd banner on projects like Memento, Alice Through the Looking Glass, and The Accidental Husband.

Jennifer’s career also extends to her role as head of Pearl Street Films, the production company of Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, where she has executive produced films like Jason Bourne.

In contrast, little is known publicly about Catherine Todd, who appears to maintain a private life away from the Hollywood spotlight.

    Career

Todd’s career spans over three decades, with her production company, Team Todd, responsible for films that have collectively grossed over three billion dollars worldwide.

Her journey began with early roles as a production assistant and associate producer on films like Lethal Weapon 2 and Die Hard 2.

In 1994, she partnered with actress Demi Moore to form Moving Pictures, producing films such as Now and Then and the television movie If These Walls Could Talk, which tackled social issues and earned her critical recognition.

After parting ways with Moore, Todd established Team Todd with her sister Jennifer, producing a diverse slate of films that range from the indie thriller Memento to the blockbuster Austin Powers trilogy, which grossed over $500 million globally.

Other notable credits include Alice in Wonderland, Bad Moms, Across the Universe, and Noelle.

Todd’s ability to navigate both independent and big-budget filmmaking has made her a versatile force in the industry.

She has also ventured into interactive entertainment, serving as a creative and business consultant for Activision/Blizzard on the Call of Duty franchise.

    Accolades

Todd’s work on If These Walls Could Talk and its sequel garnered two Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Made for Television Movie, along with a Golden Globe nomination and a Governor’s Award.

The independent film Memento, which she produced with her sister Jennifer, won the Independent Spirit Award for Best Feature in 2002 and received an AFI Film Award nomination for Movie of the Year.

The Austin Powers trilogy, a cornerstone of her career, brought in multiple awards, including a Grammy Award for Best Song Written for a Motion Picture for Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, two MTV Movie Awards, a Teen Choice Award, and a Kids’ Choice Award for Austin Powers in Goldmember.

Her production of Boiler Room earned a nomination for Best First Feature at the 2001 Independent Spirit Awards.

Beyond awards, Todd’s films have been recognized for their cultural impact, with Alice in Wonderland and Bad Moms becoming franchise successes.
