A Tanzanian Freelance Journalist Azory Gwanda who works for Mwananchi Communications Limited, a subsidiary of Nation Media group has gone missing.
Mwananchi Communications is the publisher of Mwananchi, The Citizen and Mwanaspoti newspapers.
Gwanda according to his wife Anna Pinoni was picked by a white Toyota Land Cruiser which had four occupants on the morning of November 21 at Kibiti town.
They then drove him to his shamba where his wife was and he asked her for the house keys.
“We spoke through the window while he remained in the car. He asked me for the house keys and told me he had an impromptu journey and that he will be back in a day or utmost two,” his wife narrated.

His wife says when she went back home, the house had been turned upside down but what has got her and the family worried is that her husband is yet to return weeks later and his whereabouts remain unknown.
His Company MCL have said they are working with family closely to trace the whereabouts of the journalist at a time when the Tanzanian Media is facing censorship from the Government.
