    Accolades

Mitchell’s career is adorned with numerous accolades that highlight her talent and dedication.

During her time at South Carolina, she was a three-time All-American and a three-time All-SEC First Team selection.

She was named SEC Player of the Year as a sophomore and junior, becoming only the second sophomore in league history to earn the honor.

Mitchell also received the Dawn Staley Award in 2015, recognizing her as the nation’s best collegiate guard, and was a finalist for prestigious awards like the Naismith Trophy and Wooden Award.

Academically, Mitchell excelled, earning Second-Team CoSIDA Academic All-America honors as a senior and the University of South Carolina President’s Award, the highest honor bestowed on a Gamecock student-athlete for achievements in athletics, academics, and community service.

Her jersey, No. 25, was retired by South Carolina in 2023, making her the first player coached by Dawn Staley to receive this honor.

In the WNBA, Mitchell’s rookie year was marked by her inclusion in the 2016 All-Rookie Team, and she has since maintained a career scoring average of 8.8 points per game, with an impressive 88.2% free-throw shooting percentage. Her international success, including a championship with the Melbourne Boomers, further underscores her versatility and impact on the court.
