President Uhuru Kenyatta did not mince words during his maiden speech as he took oath of  office as President for second term.

Uhuru asked opposition to respect the rule of law even if their ‘humanly’ desires were not satisfied.

“However serous our grievances, the law must reign supreme, my administration has demonstrated will to lead by example in respecting the rule of law.

The President gave IEBC a nod of ‘good job’ and thanked Kenyans and God for Jubilee’s win saying “the election was not a contest between bad and good dream, it was a battle of dreams and those who voted for me chose the better dream but doesn’t not invalidate aspirations of those of who did not vote from me”.

He reiterated that he will be custodian of the dreams of those who voted for him and those who did not and will be President for all and will devote his time to build bridges and inspire development.

Kenyatta insisted there will not be any election and says elections are firmly behind the Country, path for better Nation is peace. This downplayed NASA’s calls that the Country cannot move forward without  free and fair election in the next 90 days.

He talked tough on civil servants and saying “it will not be business as usual, I will not allow bureaucrats not to serve Kenyans.”
