A man died after falling from a tree he was trimming in Thambiro area, Meru County, police said.
Police said Mutembei Muthoi had been contracted to trim trees in the village when he slid and fell off. He sustained fractured legs and hands.
Police and witnesses said he also had injuries in the face and he bled to death.
He was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Meanwhile, six police officers were injured when a vehicle they were traveling in was involved in an accident in Maikona, Marsabit County.
The team was moving from Marsabit to Maikona when the police driver lost control and rolled into a ditch in the Kalacha area on Thursday afternoon.
The victims were rescued and rushed to a Marsabit County Hospital for treatment.
The doctors at the hospital said the group was in a stable condition.
And a 16-year-old boy died after falling from a moving lorry in Dandora, Nairobi.
Police said the victim had stolen a ride when he lost his grip and fell off. The same lorry crushed his head killing him.
Police were called to the scene and moved the body to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
The accident increased to 13, the number of those killed in accidents on Thursday alone, police said.
The victims included five passengers, four pedestrians, two riders, a driver and a pedal cyclist. At least 19 other people were seriously injured in the accidents, police said.
Meanwhile, a man was stoned to death in an incident in Konza area, Machakos County.
The motive behind the attack was not immediately known.
Police said they were called and informed of the incident before finding the charred remains of the victims at the scene.
The man had been stoned to death before his body was set on fire.
The remains were moved to the mortuary pending an identification, autopsy and probe.
